Me like! I've been wanting a Rugar .22 pistol since my mid-20s. Someday I'll make a point to get one if I don't die first.

Enjoy the new addition and enjoy the 500+ rounds you can get for $20!

Very nice, indeed. I've had mine for years, totally trouble free. I recently did add a rail and red dot to help my aging eyes, though.

Nice gun! Glad you didn't listen to the chorus of whines about "it's too hard to take a part and put together." Yep, it's no Glock in that department, but it's also not like putting a clock back together.

Once you get a few bricks through the gun, you might want to take a look at the Volquartsen trigger parts. I have those in one of my Mk IIs and it's a huge improvement over the stock trigger, which you'll appreciate if you're competing with the gun. Enjoy!

Got one just like it about a year ago. It is my "warm-up" gun at the range. Very accurate and fun to shoot. The key to easy re-assembly is make sure the hammer is in the forward position when inserting the mainspring housing bolt pin.

They seem to use a lot of ammo. Adjustable sights?

Yes....adjustable sights. I just ordered a Vector Optics holographic sight for it today.

you might want to take a look at the Volquartsen trigger parts
Thanks for that advice as well.

Small update. Don't look like we'll be going to the range this weekend. Too many irons in the fire, but I did at least get the Hogue finger groove wrap around grips for it today....and oh soooo sweet! At this point I have to give a plug for rimfiresports.com for having in stock, easy online ordering, and fast shipping. I also found three used magazines for it on EBay today for a good price. Yes....you can sell your pistol magazines on EBay now so long as they are 10rd apparently. Anyway.......didn't get to shoot it yet, but updates are good. I do know that pics should always be provided.

Nice looking pistol. I have the mkII 22/45. And its a great shooter. Cant beat a ruger reasonably priced accurate and built like a tank. Enjoy your new pistol.

Nice looking pistol. Should do you well for your intended purpose. Let us know how she does at the range!

Well, I'm still gathering up what I want for the first trip to the range. I now have a total of six magazines for it, and installed the Vector reflex sight. I do have a custom hammer bushing and and Edge extractor on the way. I field stripped the pistol several times today until I got it right. Actually it turned out to be a PITA fist couple of times since it's not even broke in yet (or at least that's what I'm blaming it on). If I didn't have to work all this weekend, I'd be going to the range. However.....looks like it will be another week, but I've been foraging for ammo as well.

Congrats, fine choice. I own a MKll in stainless steel and really love it. I think you made a fantastic choice. Let us know how it shoots!
