Thumbs up Taurus 24/7 Pro 9mm range report

I've had my 24/7 less than a week now and have been to the range twice. I've put about 300 rounds of WWB 115 gr FMJ through it. Not a lot of rounds for a definitive review I know but I am very impressed.

The gun is very comfortable to hold and has a nice point of aim. There is a bit more recoil than I expected but it is by no means harsh. The SA trigger of the Pro is very nice.

Accuracy has been impressive. Bowling pins have been dispatched with ease at 30 yards. That's yards, not feet. Any gun I can do that with is a keeper for me.

Reliability has been 100%. I even purposely limp wristed the gun through an entire mag (17 + 1) and had no failures, not even with an M3 tactical light mounted on the rail. That is a claim I cannot make with my duty Glock 23. In fact, the M3 is from my Glock but it was removed for causing malfunctions.

I am so pleased with this gun that, even with only 300 rounds through it, it will replace my S&W 5904 as my bedside home defense gun.

I have 3 Taurus pistols (amoung other guns) and have found them to be accurate, reliable, and sensibly priced. Mine are all of the double action only variety, but soon enough I will be getting one with the new trigger. The 24/7 I have has never failed and even with the double action trigger has been easy to shoot fairly accurately. Certainly good enough at "combat range" of 15 yards or less.
