I prefer to do something physical, go for a walk, go to the gym. Handling a gun when you are full of
steam is not the greatest idea in the world.

AR 15, or the G19, sometimes the 1911 - but cost keeps it mostlyh to the G19.

I think I have to agree with the workout angle when it comes to blowing off steam. But when there are those times that you're just a little worn out mentally and need to do something sort of dynamic/destructive; taking a shotgun out with a good stout load, that gets my mind relaxed... I love the sound, the recoil, the feel of the gun, and the hot barrel. Sort of therapuetic...

If your mind is so preoccupied with something that you feel the need to " blow off steam" you might lack the proper mindset to be handleing your guns. Just sayin.
Ruger 10-22, stock barrel, trigger job by me, cheap red dot scope from Wally World, bunch of bulk ammo, shooting steel plates. Great therapy!
