    Which Beretta is it?

I have been offered a pretty good deal on 2 guns.
A 38spl, snubnose Taurus and a 32. Beretta. I will be able to check them out at the end of the week.

I know what to expect from the 38spl, but I would like to research the beretta a little more. They guy thattold me about them is a friend of the seller. The seller is in NY until FRiday, so he is essentially un-reachable. The only thing I know is he said it was a miniature version of the military beretta. Does that mean the 92? If so the Puma kind of looks like the 92. As i can find Beretta made at least 3 guns chambered in 32. Does the mini-military reference mean anything to anyone?

Wish i could help you. The Tomcat is the first Beretta that comes to mind when you ask about a .32, but its not really a mini M9 (the military version of the 92).

Maybe some searching or asking around on berettaforum.net will get you somewhere. We're a bunch of nice guys over there.

Funny way to put it, but yeah, the Tomcat does look that way! You could check in at the Seecamp Forum, as they do discuss other guns, and obviously, they are a bit .32-centric!

The Beretta Tomcat and Bobcat are both tip-up barreled guns. The Puma is not a tip-up barrel.

The Tomcat is chambered in .22LR and .25ACP.

The Bobcat is chambered in .32ACP as is the Puma.

All three have the 92 "look" (open top barrel), but that is where the similarities end for the most part. They are all distinctly Beretta.

Good post, except you have your Bobcat and Tomcat backwards as far as the calibers are concerned i beleive.

You are correct sir, thank you for catching that. Trying to make the post and work at the same time, got my models mixed up.

    To correct myself:

    Bobcat : .22LR and .25ACP
    Tomcat/Puma : .32ACP
    Cheetah : .380ACP
