Article I read from CBC had people describing the weapon as a "machine gun " and "sniper rifle , but bigger" . Sad story , but alot of ignorant comments made by the people that were in the area . Really liked the guy that said the guy had " a retarded haircut" . They don't have concealed carry up there do they? Huh, might have saved a few people being shot had someone been packing.

It's always sad to hear of shootings. To me it's intensified when the area is so anti-gun that the people can't protect themselves.

Its sad that the only thing that seperates these kinds of tragedies and a "success" story is the fact that these are places where good citizens are not legally allowd to have the means to protect themselves.
There are over 550 million firearms in worldwide circulation. That's one firearm for every twelve people on the planet. The only question is: How do we arm the other 11? (Yuri Orlov [Nicolas Cage] Lord of War)

If you are a BG, or CG (Crazy Guy) you know where to go to shoot people that can't shoot back....

Why don't the anti-gun people see this....

    I Certainly Feel Bad...

for the many people who were injured...hopefully, it doesn't look like any will die! There is a point to be made here, because Canada is a democracy...and the people chose the gun laws (by voting for certain politicians)...they reap what they have sown!
Americans better wake up and vote! (See Sig Below...)
We have been lucky so far...and very lucky here in Florida!

    Canadian Gunman and College carry.

There have been quite a few college campus carry questions raised on this board. I suppose this is everyone's worst fear.

If carry was allowed there I'd bet he wouldn't have 20+ victims.

As many have said, they'll never learn.

Saw that earlier today and mused. What a shame for the victims and their families, friends, and others affected. What a shame for responsible gun owners and CCW holders. What a shame for Canadians who will be further oppressed in the denial of their right of self-preservation as the anti-gunners tighten the noose of absurdity to limit gun ownership of the wrong people. What a shame. Period.

In Canada, they have had gun control for years. They are starting to do the same as in England, having more armed units.

Oh course, they blame the "guns" in the US being smuggled up there. Sorry to tell them but if they can't control their own borders then it's their fault, not ours (don't mention our own problems with our southern border please, as I have the same feelings about it being our problem, not Mexico's).

There will be more calls for gun control, and more calls for gun control in the US from them (Canadian's) and they really believe that it will solve all their problems.

What gets me is an early lesson that we should have learned that happened in the 1920's. It was call prohibition, when all alcohol was banned by a feel good anti.

Crime rose, people still made alcohol, alot of it dangerous, and it went for high prices. They saw the crime rate increase to such a level that the government and the people got smart and recinded that amendment which did reduce the crime wave but started the crime revolution (they found out just how profitable the black market is, just ask the Kennedys lol).

Bans haven't worked in the past, they won't work in the present, and it will make the future even worse.

    JMHO.

    Deja Vu

I remember reading a post on Warrior Talk forum, this past summer. It stated that our greatest danger was going to be from what they called" A Active Shooters Incident" not from terrorist bombings. Its amazing to see just how correct the forum was. The only difference was the location. I didn't give that posting much thought, but now I'll have to adjust my thinking. Lucky for them, there was only one shooter in this incident. Just imagine if there more??
