    What will we be discussing in the gun forum's 100 years from now?

    Certainly some topics of discussion will be different, but some won't change. For instance lever-action rifles, bolt guns, revolvers, metallic cartridges have already been around for 100+ years, I'd expect they'd still be discussed.

    What are we going to be discussing that is new, 100 years from now? Lighter weapons, thinner handguns, new calibers, new operating systems?

    I cringe when I wonder whether we'll even have private ownership of guns and/or the state of our civilization.

    Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

    I would imagine we'll be discussing the latest conceal carry phaser and associated gear (anti-grav holsters power cells, etc.), 9mm vs .45, stun or disintegrate

    Oh and the latest power cell technology (matter/anti-matter vs lithium ion (the classics never die) vs arc reactor)

    I imagine in 100 years "we" won't even be a memory to anyone.

    Lightbulb 2112 July 4: Where's Sixto?

    Well...First, we'll be using Virtual Keypads aligned with the Heads up Retina Display, unless of course you're still trying to make MicroSoft Windows XP Pro Version 117 work without that new security patch..........

    Our topics will include:

    • Remember 2012 and the political fight needed to vanquish the Anti-2A crowd?
    • Wayne Pierre's speech at the 2112 National Convention in the seaside resort of Phoenix;
    • Sharpening a virtual blade the old fashioned way with lasers;
    • Are Glock Generation 19's an improvement?
    • I just inherited my Grand Dad's Glock Generation 1!
    • 1911's still rein in the user compatibility department;
    • Gecko45 re-appears in his latest Hoovercraft at Mall of North America which covers 82,282 square miles: Sorry, Kansas. It really was an improvement;

    In the "Humor" Sub-Forum:

    • Is your Jennings still your "Go To" gun?
    • How to use a Public Bathroom when concealing your micro-light saber;
    • How to use a public bathroom when you carry a 2000's handgun;
    • I shot a Raptor with my HiPoint 45 ACP and lived to tell about it!

    And:

    • Where's Sixto?
    • It's Sixto's Fault!

    Happy Independence Day!

    The 9 Joule vs. 45 Joule phaser debate. My 9 Joule Phaser can fire 100 shots before recharge. Oh yeah? Well my 45 Joule Phaser can stun an elephant, so even though I can only shoot 20 shots, its still better. Plus, the 45 Joule phaser has been around for over 50 years. It's a piece of Americana! And I like the way it feels in my hand. Do phasers have recoil? I guess follow up shots wont be an issue in 100 years....in 100 years, the .22 will be the gun that kicks like a mule.
