Is Marlin arms closing. Is attached article correct?

I received an email from a friend minutes ago. It indicated that George Soros is buying companies that manufacture ammo and fire arms and he is closing them to control these items. He is anti-gun for the general public. His latest purchase was Marlin arms. I did not attach article because I noticed it was copy written so I took it down. ???? :ticking:

Thanks..............Can't believe every thing you read. Blood pressure is just starting to come down. Also thanks for the snopes contact. Can snopes be trusted? :embarassed:

On non-political stuff, pretty much. On things that potentially take a political spin, the sympathies of the Mikkelsons is usually pretty apparent.

FYI, Marlin in North Haven is no more. Acquired by Remington, and the new firearms do not have the old JM proof mark. If you are a "purist" and want a "true" Marlin, look for the JM proof and 2009 or earlier manufacture.
