Yup. I clean out my truck every once in awhile and usually have enough rounds for a short range trip. I don't think heat is going to be an issue.

I dropped a 7.62x54R round in my truck last fall while out hunting and I didn't find it until I got pulled over for a taillight. It was hot and I asked the cop if I could get out for some air, he said "sure" so I did and the round clinked on the ground. He picked it up and whistled. I almost crapped my pants. Totally forgot it was there...I'm sure you'll be fine.

One of the bullets fell in between my seat and I can't find it. I've done everything except taking the seat off while looking for it.
So here's my hypothetical question, what's the worst thing that could come of me leaving it there? Like exploding from getting to hot in the car?

    Just curious,

I'd stay away from driving across international borders until I found it.

I had the same problem with my daughters pet mouse about 5 years ago.....disappeared right down the air vents on the dashboard of my Silverado. Never did find the little sucker.....but for about six months, we knew he was still with us.
