A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

Since we are excluding the practicality CCW duty, I'd go with a full size 9mm. 226 or to the shock of many who have been around DC for a while... an M&P.

I too would keep my Ruger Redhawk .44 mag. in stainless. In fact that is the only reason i have kept it for the past 35 yrs. I still have half of the box of ammo I got when I bought it.

I'd move to a tropical island where firearms are most likely banned.

Whats the use in having only one?
I'd foresake them all for an Island Girl and live out my days fondly remembering the past..............
Between wildly romantic interludes on the beach with the aforementioned Island Girl of course.

I'm going to say my Kimber Super Carry Pro .45. Next choice would be my Sig Sauer Ultra Compact .45.

It is perhaps the only gun of every semi-auto range rental that hasnt failed me once. Yes that includes Glocks and 1911s both of which I also like.

I am still working on my trigger control, most of my groupings are low and left regardless of the gun. But the USP I can put lead center mass and leave one large hole in the paper at the end of the day.

Unfortunatley, the USP did eventualy fail (not by my hand) and has been out of comission for some time now. If I wasnt investing in an AR, Elanore would be next on my list.
get the .40. i had a 45 and my buddy had a 40 back in the day. i was more accurate with his 40. unfortunately i sold it. (stainless model too)

Ruger SP101 357 2" bbl. DA/SA. All around good multipurpose handgun.

I would prefer 3" bbl, but I don't have one.

My Browning Buckmark Hunter hands down. You can just about find ammo for it everywhere, carry a lot of ammo with little weight, and take small to med game with it. It may not stop an attacker with one shot, but when you dump all 10rds of HP to the pump house it won't be a party either.

I'll just pick from the one's I have, it would be my CZ p-01. Hands down the best gun I have so far. But since I'm about to get one of those "ho hum" G19's, it very well could be that.
The stupidity of some people NEVER ceases to amaze me.

If we ever get to the 1 gun limit, I will make a deal with you for a 3" model.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Well, I'm going say, without a doubt, my G23

and the goodies. I have the same setups for my G22 (for my son if he can own just one) and my wifes G27 (if she can own just one) and there is the G30SF with the 10mm conversion for my daughter (if she can own just one).

As for long guns (for me) it's this

Remington 870, also with a 28 inch barrel and a variety of chokes for fowel and small game. along with a rifled slug barrel for taking big game. (I don't have pics of the barrels)

I can see where one may think that it's cheating, but if one owns them one may see it as an advantage.

PS. If it weren't for my 870 I would agree with glockman10mm.. The Nylon 66 is an awesome gun!
Stop whining and go do something that makes a difference!
If you think that I may be talking to you, then I am.
