Hey guys, I have a quick question for you all. I own an HK USP compact in .40 and I'm not the biggest fan of the sights. I have fairly poor vision and sometimes getting a good sight picture with the standard 3 dot can be next to impossible. So, I figured I'd solve this issue by buying some new sights that might be bigger/easier to see.
I really wanted to get XS big dot sights, but after doing some research I found out that the XS sights on a USP compact don't really work that well due to the rear sight sitting too deep in the slide (any opinions would be greatly appreciated).
So, now I'm looking at some Meprolights, Trijicon's, or any other high quality sights. I still don't want to count out the XS sights, but I want to make sure I can get a good sight picture, and that the rear sight won't be a problem with them.
So, what do you guys think? What are some good sights for someone with poor vision? What would really stick out and make it easy to acquire a sight picture? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated..
I would check out hkpros forum, that's all they ever talk about. You can also look at all the sight options on hkparts.net, looks like they have most if not all of them to look at and decide.
Thanks for the reply! I'll check that site out too
Any other suggestions? What are good gun sights that are easily visible?

Wow, thanks for the response guys! Looking into some of those sights now. Any other ideas out there? The more the better!
If you want "night sights" that's fine but, you can also just paint them and put some dot stickers on them for the nice neat die cut.
I used these; Nitesiters Handgun Night Sights
Some bright nail polish from Wally's then the dots, then some clear polish.
Photo bites, I know. Never took any other pics of it. Helps my tired old eyes to lock on target.
