Got re-united with an old friend!

In 2009 a guy at work bought a S&W model 39 from me, that I had owned since 1988 or so.
I felt crappy letting it go as it was a terrific shooting firearm, save for a lot of use.
Used it to fund another more practical CC pistol.
FForward to 2011 and I bought a beautiful 6906 off GB.
    FForward to present day.
Wife is crabbing we could use the money if I sold it, so I asked my co-worker if he or his dad would be interested, or if he knew of someone.
    He says maybe.
Well he researches online and likes what he read about the 6906, so he says yes he wants it, but wants to trade the 39 + $180
I was asking $365 for the 6906. I said ok, as he added two mags to the two that I sold to him with the 39 for $200 back in '09.
So I didn't lose anything as far as firearms, got some money, and an old friend + 2 mags for her.
I'm kinda happy right now, in a nostalgic kind of way.

As my dad would say, if it was meant to be, it was meant to be.
I think the model 39 is in the family for good this time!

That’s like the story behind the Z28 on the Papa John’s commercial, only you got by far cheaper. Nice job.

    ^^^^^^^^^^YES^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

He took great care of it.

He is very persnickity when it comes to firearms.
He is a young pup @ 36 or so but knows how to keep things nice.

I bought the pistol off of a very close friend of mine who worked for the city of Warren Mi. at the time, and was using it as his duty pistol, and he decided to sell it when, after he was chasing a thug down an alley off of Dequindre and John Kronk, he rounded the corner of a bldg. and the perp had a pistol leveled at him, and he got into a gunfight, and realized very quickly that 9 rounds was a little on the light side.

This pistol is very accurate, more accurate than my M&P9c, and will be a great range gun for my kids, and.......it just feels right.
