i haven't bought an the rifle yet. just looking around.
The under-folder will clear a 30rd mag, but will not clear the 40rd mags that are floating around.

side folder it is. i liked the one on my sks anyways. quick and easy.
so now my question is, which ak to buy? the romanian one is the cheapest.

Underfolders are great to carry around all day, but they suck for actually shooting. Its hard on the face and you cant really get a proper cheek weld. They are great truck or backback guns, but most people eventually get tired of them and sell them to get the standard stock.

Yeah... HotGuns is absolutely right... The underfolders are somewhat unpleasant to use when extended. Go for the side folder and don't look back.

yeah like i said i had a poly side folder on my sks very similar to the one in the link. and it's only 30$. so i just gotta figure out which rifle to order.
No experience with newer options... I had a couple of pre-ban Norinco's that were a lot of fun and exceptionally reliable. When i sold them they both had 20,000+ rounds through them and were still going strong.

i am thinking this one:

I have a Romanian with the basic wood furniture setup. It hasn't given me any problems yet. For the price I think they're worth it. You can definitely find more accurate models than the Romanian though, it definitely conforms to all the "horribly inaccurate" AK stereotypes out there. Should hit minute of goblin out to maybe 200 yards, but it's far from precise at any range.

there is also the polish model: Polish 7.62x39 AK-47, AKAGUN-POL02, polish, 7.62x39, ak, 47, ak47, ak-47
anyone have experience with them? i like the pictanny rails already on the romanian one but i will trade that for better accuracy.
