See if you can find an old H&R 922 Snub for cheap snubbie practice. You also need a Ruger Mark II or Browning Buckmark pistol for practice. The Buckmarks are easier to take down and clean...but you might want to stick with Ruger since they seem to be Rollo-proof.
A Henry lever action 22 would also be a ton of fun. I've got one in 22 Magnum and it's buttery smooth. Got a 1948 Remington Pump 22 also. You just can't have enough 22s. They are a ton of fun.
