I've been a longtime gun owner/carrier and served in the military along with a tour of war. But after joining this forum I think I've seen more acronyms that the army has ever had lol. So anyone feel like chiming in and revealing the words behind the letters. Some I know or can figure out.

IWB = Inside the Waistband (and OWB is outside).
LEO = Law Enforcement Officer
EDC = Every Day Carry
Those are the ones I've seen the most.

Here's my favorite:
CCP = concealed carry permit
CCW = concealed carry weapon
People don't seem to be able to distinguish the two. One's a piece of paper. The other's a piece of hardware.

Don't worry, I was confused a bit at first too.
I first thought EDC was extra deep concealment. Nope, Every Day Carry.
I don't carry a gun to look for or start a fight. I carry one to finish a fight I never wanted to be in.

I used to be military aircrew; you would not believe how many acronyms you will run into when around aircraft. A lot of the new guys would carry cheat sheets just to remember them.
