Exhibition shooters on the History Channel
Last night on the History Channel there was a show on that showcased the exhibition shooters of past and present. There was some really fancy and speedy pistol work performed by Jerry Miculek, Bill Ogolsby and even some vintage clips from Ed McGivern. Then there was the amazing Tom Knapp showing what could be done with a shotgun, semi-auto and pump. They even showed some old Annie Oakley and Wild Bill Hitchcock shooting talents. They set it up in a format where some of the shooting talents and well known feats performed by the great shooters of the past, were re-enacted by the present top guns. I had heard that Jerry Miculek was fast but I never realized, until last nights show, just how fast......and accurate he is. You just have to see him in action to believe it. It was a 2 hour show that was very entertaining. Hope you all got a chance to see it.

Sounds good. I'll have to watch for it the next time it shows..... And as we now know, history does repeat itself, at least on the History Channel.

It was amazing, one guy went from hands above head to 15 shots on 5 targets in less than 2 seconds.

it was probably the best thing I've seen on TV in I don't know how long, I don't have cable, satellite, or even rabbit ears, I was actually glad to be out of town in a hotel with cable to catch the show.

That was Jerry Miculek. He is amazing. I saw a video clip a while back where he shot 6 rounds, reloaded and shot 6 more rounds in less than 2 seconds.

I don't know how they can pull a trigger or pump a shotgun that fast. I'm sure the guns are not "off the shelf", and have had some work done on them, but to be able to move a finger that fast is amazing.

What's really amazing is that they can hold it on target and still cycle the pump or pull the trigger that fast........and make it look so effortless.

I got in late, but was able to catch the second half. All I can say is that I don't think I will be trying any of these stunts any time soon. Great show.

definitely a good show
Tom Knapp is amazing with that shotgun. I've heard of him before, but never seen him in action.

Saw this a couple times by chance. Very cool. I can't believe that people actually held the targets (cigarettes, etc.) being fired upon. Crazy! I don't know if that would be acceptable today...
Caught Tom Knapp doing his shotgun exhibition at the LA Gun Show in June. Impressive stuff!!
