Smith & Wesson Club 1852
I filled out the registration form for Club 1852 when I got my S&W M&P (then filled it out online when I saw the web address) and promptly forgot about it - I was too busy staring at my not-so-shiny new gun and thinking about my next range trip. At any rate, today I recieved a letter from Smith & Wesson, and a Club 1852 membership card. Apparently I will recieve a member packet in a few weeks with a few goodies in it, but the cool part (at least now) is the card itself. The front has member information, and the back has contact info for S&W, and the phone number for the lifetime warranty support. The important part (and what impressed me) is that the center of the card has the 4 key firearms safety rules. Just thought it was kinda neat (you know, a gun company with a reminder about firearm safety).
Anyways, just a little rambling about something that hit me while I sifted through the bills today. Thanks for reading.
Anyone already a member of the S&W club? There any benefits beyond warranty support and a really nifty card?

Has anyone found a forum/bulletin board on the S&W site?

Yep, I got my S&W Club 1852 card yesterday also. Course, I had moved twice since Feb, and by the time the USPO finally got it to me, the envelope was pretty well destroyed. I am still waiting for the "package" though. I too had forgot about the entry into the club; as applied way back in FEB.

How long did you wait for the 1852 Club membership letter and packet? I purchased an S&W M&P 40 about 6 weeks to use as a secondary carry gun to my P2000 9MM. I filled out the card and sent it in within a couple of days and I haven't heard anything yet.

I filled mine out on July 13th. So it took about a month and a half for the initial letter and card.

I'm a member as well. I just received my card recently. I know of one feller that received a nice range bag as his membership gift.
