I had the pleasure of shooting an Uzi SMG this afternoon. Ammo was supplied, too.
Lots of fun. Took about three mags to get the hang of if. After that I did pretty well.

If you really want to go all runny inside, head to a "machine gun shoot." At the larger ones, often you can find everything from Uzis to Thompsons, M16 and AK rifles, BARs, vintage MG42 and Bren ... and everything else you can think of.

I really wish full auto was more available...but I have shot a few in the military and as range rentals...lots of fun!

class 3 full auto is rediculously expensive (way past cost prohibitive to me)...I wish the 1986 rule would get abolished.

I am about two weeks into "pending" for a Ingram M10/45 with a bunch of accessories. It wasn't cheap, but it also wasn't any more expensive then buying five or six nice title I guns. I'm going to be 40 soon, and I have wanted a MG for half my life at least, so I took the plunge. I'm hoping to have it by Christmas, and might if the trend on approvals keeps getting better. I've fired a number of different full-autos (MP5, M10/45, M11/380, FAL, Colt SMG 9mm, and a M14), and they are all fun. However, I am limiting myself (at least for now) to submachineguns so I can afford to shoot them at least some. As much fun as the M14 was, it was hard to hold on target for anything past a very short burst, and 20 round of 7.62mm gone in a couple of seconds gets really expensive quickly.

There's always suppressors, SBR, and SBS's. These are fun without the ammo costs of F/A.

MP-5s are also great fun to shoot!
