"Besides, life is too short to dress like a skank if you don't have too. There are plenty of others around to do that."

Amen to this. And, worse and worse, they're in your face about it... and their rights...and their individualism...and their attitudes about equality, or even superiority, despite being dressed like a slob.

In this nation we're dumbed down, dressed down, "motivation-ed" down, and awfully proud of it all the while.

About the only thing I will wear not fresh clean out of the drawers clothes is to cut grass or to work on my car. If anyone is going to see me, it's clean clothes.

I wear what ever I happen to have on unless I have on dress clothes when i go to the range. Now, my husband does laugh that I do my nails before I go.

My clothes, once in the hamper, are out of the rotation until they come out of the dryer.... I abandoned the "smell test" sometime in my early twenties.

It's a personal choice I suppose. If I am going to shoot at my private location I could not care less. No one ever goes there. On the other hand, I find it to be respectful of others and wear clean clothes if you are at a public range whether indoor or outdoor. First impressions can last a lifetime...

I'll wear jeans a few times before washing as long as I don't get anything on them. While I do wear dirty clothes to the range, they are only dirty in the sense that there is something on them that won't come out like oils or paint.

The more I read this thread the more I wonder why we have to explain why we wear clean clothes.

Suddenly I am having second thoughts about virtually hanging around here....

Are you kidding me? I look so crisp and clean that when I walk into a hospital to visit somebody the hospital personnel think that the new anesthesiologist just arrived.

Clean, always. If you need to ask and even think about getting clothes back out of the hamper, you need to adjust your thinking. Can't believe personal hygiene is even a question with adults.

The only thing that gets dirt when I shoot are my hands. The only time I wear gun related t-shirts is when I go to the range, but they're clean.
