I've generally reserved certain clothing items for shooting, same as I do for working on the car. Activities such as those tend to get extra dirty, smelly, torn/ripped, whatever. Wear 'em for the purpose, then clean 'em again before the next outing. Works just fine, and it keeps the "decent" clothing in better condition.

If you would switch to shooting real black powder folks won't be able to tell if you have bathed and wore clean clothes or not. I normally get one whole end of the range to myself when I break out the 45-90 or my flinchlock.

I wear clean clothes everywhere.
I know I'm going to get dirty most every day. I start out with clean stuff and have been known to change halfway thru the day. Some of my work clothes might look a little ragged, but they are clean.

I always dress appropriately for whatever I'm doing for the day. Regardless of what I'm doing, I take a little pride in my appearance; you only get one chance to make a good impression..

It depends.
I own my range on 80 acres we bought a while back, sometimes I’ll shoot while taking a break or between chores, so all bets are off as to how I’m dressed and if clean or not. IF it’s a trip out just to shoot with some freinds, or a match, then I’m presentable.

When I go to the range---I wear whatever I've already been wearing--usually "chore" clothes appropriate to the weather. If I am going for a real training, I will often wear an old set of BDUs/DCUs--primarily because of all the great pockets--plus I have lots of them.

Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.

I wear my jeans down on my butt and my cap on sideways, but they're clean. ;)
Kidding!
Train like you fight. I go to the range wearing the (clean) clothes I would normally wear. Yes - I've gone shooting in a business suit! People look at you weird - assume you are a detective or work for one of the black helicopter "letter" agencies. Hilarious!
I conceal carry to and from the range, so I wear clean clothes. I will sometimes change when I get back home, if the clothes got dirty or smelly.

If I'm not at work, I'm spotless. Spend enough time dirty and smelly.
I wear a speedo to the range. That way you don't get your clothes dirty and it helps get the ladies.
