    I carry A Bersa Thunder UC 9 Pro and have never had a failure with it. It also comes in .40 and .45 caliber.

    I'm a xD lover do I'd say xds. But I also currently have the m&p shield on order which if I see it in the next few months I'd be lucky considering the back order.

    Does your LGS have a m&p shield?

    I am a Ruger fan can't beat the lc9 or the lcr we own both.

    I honestly couldn't steer you in the direction of a best replacement. It's too bad you've had bad experiences with your chosen pistol. Apparently this is a sign to you to make a change. Sometimes we are bestowed with knowledge.....sometimes we need to live the experience. I think change is warranted at this point.

    Well I have my list narrowed down the the following:

    Bersa BP9CC (very interested in seeing checking one out, never heard of it till this thread)
    Ruger LC9
    Ruger LCR .357 (Probably load it with 38 spl)
    S&W Shield 9mm
    Sig P938
    Glock 36
    Springfield XDs (maybe)

    Seems like I'll be renting a few guns at my next range trip.
