What is the gun you will be handing down the generations?
I'm wondering what gun in your collection you consider to be the most classic one. By this I mean the one you see being handed down the generations long after you are gone?
For me, probably my Ruger Mark II Government Target model. My first handgun and still one of my favorites!
What is yours?
Thanks!

My Browning A-Bolt .270, that thing is sweet. Probably my Winchester Model 1300 12 Gauge I bought with summer work money at 15 years old (Dad bought it with my cash but it was essentially mine).

My grandfathers Winchester lever action 308 that he bought as a teen. A super nice rifle. Looks brand new. Killed a many deer. Also......all of my black rifles. They probably won't be around to much longer.

I have one child, a daughter. So they will all go to her. But I'd like to think she will keep the Colt New Service 45 and the Colt Goverment model.....after they pry it loose from my cold dead hands.

Well this is by no means a rare or valuable gun, but my old H&R Fieldsman .22. Over the last couple of generations or two it's had parts replaced, things fixed, and finishing redone, all many times. So, I think it needs to be passed on.

My son thinks it is going to be my SA 1911, He's wrong I think it should go in my coffin. Guess he will have to settle for what's left over

For me it is one of the M1 Garands that I received through the CMP program nearly 15 years ago. It's a Springfield Armory rifle that appears to have seen little if any use (not just re-barreled) and has the original (correct) parts and cartouches. It's beautiful. Luckily (I guess), another one I purchased had seen some use, so that is the one I shoot. Both are worthy of being handed down to my children, but the one is really special.

I am thinking and hoping the one that will be passed on down n then on down is my belgium browning sweet sixteen..... i have several guns willed to friends if something happeded to me, but my son, would still be getting a pretty nice collection, but he sweet sixteen was passed down to me, and that is what i intend to do with it....and hope it stays in the family....
Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American GI. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
I asked my stock broker the other day, what I should be investing in ....his reply, canned goods n ammo !!!

As if there isn't, and die to find out there is.
