    Mini Red Dot Sight?

I tried one. It was to go on a AR but for $40.00 for the Glock dovetail mount I figured why not?

This was a expensive red dot and highly rated used by Military and Contractors. After 4 weeks of dry fire and about 600 rounds I took it off. They work great at 25 to 50 yards. From bad breath distance to 20 yards the red dot was inferior. The reason was acquisition was longer than iron sights. The range I just put the front sight on the target and fire.

It takes a while to train yourself to pick up the dot , but once you do they are very accurate even for myself to 50 yards. I would not recommend them for a carry gun as combat accuracy is good enough vs longer target acquisition.

I suspect they would work well on shotguns and rifles of course thy are excellent.

There is a learning curve to it, to be sure.

The Suarez Tribe is pushing red dots hard. I've played with a couple of red dot equipped guns and I love them. To me its like hitting the easy button.

I stuck a relatively inexpensive red dot on my Ruger 22/45. My aging eyes were having trouble with the black on black sights and poorly lit shooting ranges. For a indoor range gun it has been great.
Chose a weapon that goes bang EVERY time!
