What are they thinking
After our 1500 mile move and trying to get new house in order plus put things into storage I thought I would catch up on my gun porn so I get out latest gun mags and a few old ones. Well I am going thru pages spot checking and thinking what needs a closer look when this ad jumps out about a guy going to the store and he may of had a famliy member with him, when he feels threatened by some one coming towards him. OK next part of ad ( I have been looking thru the mags trying to find ad again ) when he puts his hand in his pocket and grasp his blank gun which he does not need a permit to carry in Fl. and as the threat gets closer he pulls his blank gun points at BG but he keeps coming so he points gun in the air pulls the trigger and flame comes from muzzle and it also ejects a case and the BG flees. I told my wife about ad and she said its a joke, no thats what I read. So now I thought I would put it out so you could go WHAT. I am stiil looking for the ad and has anyone else seen it. As ex LEO I'm going thru everything that could go wrong and why would a ad be placed like

A blank gun or a starter pistol, if the same...do not usually eject a shell.OMO

probably not advisable to bring a blank gun to what may become a real gun fight.
...just another reason I quit buying or reading any gun magazines. They'll print anything for a buck, regardless of whether it is a good defensive handgun...or blank gun.
Kimbers are the guns you show your friends....Glocks are the ones you show your enemies.

Just think, you can wear it in a holster, right next to the conceal carry badge you buy from them!
The sad thing is someone will read the BS and believe it, and get themselves killed because of it.

First, they also sell CCW badges.
Second, for a few dollars more you can get a "real" gun (Hi-Point)
.
If you do something wrong, you'll be in just just as much trouble as with a real gun. If you need a real gun, well ....

Here in Florida, the cops shoot suspects brandishing toys guns. A starter or blank gun would be no different. I doubt the BGs would hesitate either.

Agreed. Here's an ad for one of them:

Soo, now you're in trouble for discharging a firearm in public. Good luck convincing anyone that a blank gun is different.
On the plus side, the BG will get taken out after he slips on his own urine from laughing so hard.

I had a customer bring his BMW in for service. he was a jerk, and from some middle-eastern country. On the center console in plain sight was a counterfeit pistol and some solid brass fake 380 rounds. I knew this was the kind of guy who would wave that at people on the freeway. I left a .45 hollowpoint on his dash to give him something to think about, and winked at him as he drove off the lot.
I don't always have nothing to say, but when I do, I post it on Facebook.

And just think, you can conceal it with a CCW sash!
