Unique WWII Weapon - De Lisle Carbine

William Godfrey De Lisle was a tinker and a patriot. He modified a Enfield MkIII to fire .22's and suppressed it. He used the odd little rifle to hunt small game until it dawned on him, the military might have use of his awkward device. He took it to the government and it of course generated much interest. The rest is history.
