My 9 year old shooting his rifles

I took my son out a few days ago and we had fun shooting at some targets. This was the 2nd time he has shot my AR. I think he did a pretty good job. The video gets a little boring in the middle when he's shooting the .22 but at the beginning and the end is where he is shooting the AR.

Mods if this needs to be moved please do so. Thanks.

Thanks for the compliments. It took a bit the first time to hit the exploding target but after that he was awesome. Very proud of him. As for the hunting question. Not yet. We are gonna start out next year with the small stuff. Squirrels and rabbits and such. I haven't went hunting in years so I decided to start deer hunting next year also. Should be a lot of fun.

I must have been younger than he is when I started. My arms weren't long enough to reach the trigger if the stock was against my shoulder. I had to clamp the stock between my arm and body...more than 60 years ago. I watched the video to see if he could get the butt against his shoulder.

I don't remember how old I was, but I remember how I had to hold the rifle.

Nice! I love seeing our younger generation shooting in a safe and responsible manner! Thanks for doing what you do with your son and I know he will be thankful and grateful when he grows up. He's a great shot, too! Thanks for sharing.
I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.

For the money, I think it was $110 at Walmart, I can't complain.

Yeah I was pretty surprised. He was scared to shoot it because he thought it would kick. After he saw that it didn't he loved it.

Yeah at this point he is too weak to hold the gun up. He stays in the prone position while shooting. I'm hoping he will be stronger next year.
