OK, just back from the range.
If you were one of the kind members that suggested moving my trigger finger to the first joint, then....ding, ding, ding....you are our winner!
That was all that was needed to get me back on target, so thank you!
I also practiced shooting with both eyes open. While this didn't end up being a factor in my "low and left" issue, it was good practice for me nonetheless.
