Thats a bunch of B.S.. In the article it says take it out of its intended purpose and it becomes criminal. Well DUHH!!! take a weed waker out of it purpose and it becomes criminal. Unknown if true, but there is a reference to a blast radius of 5mi in one incident (on WikiPedia) for tannerite that involved taking its components and combining them into something much bigger. Ammonium-nitrate, perchlorate and a bit of clever mixing could make something larger than an end-of-range "poof." I can see the logic, though I don't agree with the conclusion at all, which would be like banning gasoline merely because in large doses it can create a fair-sized blast. Sadly, it wouldn't surprise me if a majority nodded their heads and voted "aye" for such a thing, simply because "blasts are bad."
