Went to purchase bullets walk out with another gun! Is it just me?

I make a trip to the gun store at lunch to pick up some cast bullets for my friend ( save him a trip into town ). I eye up the Sig M11 A1 top shelf under the glass. Manufactured date 10-31-12. The other stores had this model back ordered for months. I made the purchase.
...... Am I the only one or does this happen to you?

Once I pick it up I will post pictures and submit a range report. I had my Eye on this one for a while and it was #1 on my list, I just did not think it would be this soon!

I live in WI so we have a wonderful 48 hour cool off period so I can get the gun in 44 hours, sixteen minutes and 32 seconds.

I did write my reps and ask for the 48 hour wait to be removed for conceal carry permit holders. All I got was a group e mail.

I went to my LGS last year to get a set of night sights put on my G23. I left with not only the sights installed, but I also left with another set of night sights with a G30 attached to them. Happens to the best of us (and I wouldn't want it any other way!).

I'd go back to the gun shop & explain that you weren't "hot" when you bought it, thus making "cooling off" completely unnecessary. "Dude, I'm as cool as the other side of the pillow. The Dalai Lama calls me to calm himself down. Now gimme' my dang handgun purchase"

You are not alone; a couple of months ago, I went to purchase some ammo. I walked out with the ammo, some targets, and a Glock 19.

Of course you're not the only one! I think there's even help groups out there for this condition.

I have no Mrs. Blitzburgh to answer to/discuss purchases with, so I spend as I please. I started buying ammo in bulk to help avoid this, but I still finding myself needing ammo every so often.. My last ammo purchase lead to a Sig M4 following me home, poor little fellow wanted a warm meal and well made bed, and loving parent, who am I to leave him at the 'foster home'?
