I am really looking into buying a Savage Mark II. I am not looking to spend more than $225. I like the model that has the extended bolt handle for training for bigger caliber guns but i dont like the price of that model(Too Much :frown: ). So could i get a less expensive model and get an extended bolt handle for that model?
I see 2 options. First is check with Savage to see if the extended bolt will fit the gun your looking at. The second is find a gunsmith that can make you one.
IMHO, the diameter of the bolt knob isn't going to make you a better or lesser shooter. If you like the look & feel, fine. Pay the freight to get the look & feel. If it's too expensive, spend the extra money on quality optics or match ammo. That stuff & trigger-time are the things that make you a better rifle shot. The "tactical bolt knob" won't.
To both of these replys.
Re: Quick Question
I dunno about rimfire bolt handles, but adding a larger knob to centerfire bolt handles costs about $100 a whack
