Nock Volley?? Opinions?
For those of you who have read my posts, you know that my future wife is also a gun nut, so far as to even VERBALLY express her love for the smell of gun powder as we walk into the range.
Well I have plenty of welding experience and have taught her basic mig and stick welding for her derby car racing hobby.
Shes now full tilt into wanting to build her own gun. Shes set her "sights" on the Nock Volley rifle and wants to build one from a kit doing her own finishing and welding and everything..
She plans to enroll in a welding course at the local community college before taking on this task.
For those of you not knowing this is SEVEN barrels of .52 and typically fired around 40 grains.
I assume it's like a black powder gun?????
Anyone have experience with this kit? Good??? bad??
HELP! Shes been over run by the gun bug!

No experience with the gun, however after researching it, it is a true black powder weapon.

One of the TV "reality" gun shows built one. The only diference was they decided to make it fire sequential instead of all at the same time. Don't remember why they did that, maybe because they are girlie men!

Great article in the recent American rifleman on the origins and characteristics of the gun. One reason the British navy stopped using it was the damage to the shoulders of the sailors who fired the weapon.

When "Sons of Guns" built one they didn't want all the chambers igniting at once so they figured out a way that each barrel would fire a fraction of a second after the other one
