Some people like the plated ones for easy cleaning/oiling. I didn't get that kind. My last one was $124.95 from atomictactical.com but out of stock
Bolt Carrier Groups . My prior one was from Palmetto State Armory for $129.95
Les Baer is fine quality stuff. Yes, IMHO, you'll get more quality for less money buying a Bolt Carrier Group than building your own. There's not that much labor involved (staking?) so it's all parts. You can't touch the manufacturer's bulk-volume discount price on parts anyway. Buy a good plated one & be done.
There are only TWO kinds of people in this world; those that describe the world as filled with two kinds of people...and those who don't.
plated as in what? nickel plated or is phosphate coated fine? nickel plated is like double the price...the one in my rifle now is just phosphate i think
