Been buying ammo for what I have every week since the election. A little here and there. Bought mags for both my pistols today. Still trying to decide on whether or not I want an AR or not. I can layaway one a a local shop $990. or buy a Bushmaster for around 7-8. Don't NEED one. To be honest, kinda feel guilty buying one right now.
Yes, more ammo and alot of 30 round mags....investments in my eyes.

Nope, but I did take an inventory of my weapons, ammo and spare parts. I must say that I don't have any assault rifles but I do have some "look a like" semi automatics and would buy a "real" assault rifle if the funds were available. What did the inventory accomplish? I have more then enough ammo and guns to protect my family for a very long time if TSHTF.

I admit to doing a little panic buying last week. After the shooting here in Portland at the mall, and then right after the Connecticut school shooting, the local media started going nuts about banning nasty AR15s and those of us maniacs who own them.
When I bought my Ruger SR556 last year it came with three nice Magpul Pmags. I didn't think that was enough, but have been putting off buying any more. Also, I've never found any decent extended mags for my Ruger 10-22 that won't jam.
Anyway, I started getting antsy about possible magazine restrictions and despite much eye-rolling from my wife, headed down to my LGS and picked up a couple more Pmags and two new Ruger BX-25 mags for my 10-22. So I guess I should feel a little sheepish for doing a little panic buying, but at least I wasn't alone at the gun shop. That place was going nuts with people buying everything they could.

I've not panic bought anything. Earlier in the month, I bought a Ruger Mini-14 for about $530. I thought it would be nice to have something in .223 that wasn't on an AR platform.
A few Circle 10 mags, a case of 7.62 x 39, some other stuff. How long it takes to get here will be interesting
I was at Cabela's last night (not to panic buy, just looking at the safes they have on sale) and a salesman told me that it has been absolutely crazy. They started the weekend with a stock of over something like 700 30 round PMags. Sold somewhere like 300 each day until they ran out.
it wasn't really a "panic buy" for me because I was waiting for my Xmas bonus on my paycheck which also came on Friday (because the 15th came on a weekend) to order a rifle from PSA. really just crappy timing for me I guess. it still said "in stock" though and I was able to complete the order so hopefully it'll arrive someday.
Only panic buying I can afford is when I'm on my last roll of TP, and even that keeps going up!
