Don't be so sure... You may miss the window of panic opportunity (LOL).

Not yet. Waiting to see when/if things cool down. We'll see what January brings us.

Ive been holding off for 3-4 years in an AK/AR style riffle. After Last Fridays events and subsequent comments by people. I jumped and picked up an M&P 15 OR 223/5.56 with a Weaver Scope on it. I was looking to get a Windham Weaponry model, but they were sold out. Didnt want to get anything this soon, but now is as good as any....

I know an AWB is the main topic but does anyone think they will also be after super high cap mags like the 22 round Glock .40 mags? That's the only thing I've been thinking about buying.

I would assume so, but obviously nobody knows for sure what they will go after. I think it's pretty safe to assume that if it was illegal during the last ban, it'll be illegal again. "High Capacity" pistol mags were illegal, so...

I wouldn't call in a panic buy, but I did speed up the process.

I started researching for my first AR15 a couple months ago. I decided I better stop reading and start buying. I had decided I was going to go with a Windham CDI. When I hit the LGS checking prices, I ran into a in stock Daniel Defense M4V3 that followed me home.

I went to one of the LGSs a couple of days ago to get a spare Sig mag and another box of ammo for my wife for Christmas and they had plenty of ammo, AR15 type rifles, and magazines. I picked up another 30 round PMAG for myself.

I only bought one, because I had just ordered 3 from Brownells the day before. Well, that was a mistake--only buying one! It wasn't until later when I got home that I received an email from Brownells saying that the magazines were backordered (even though their website had said they were in stock)! Had I gotten their email before I went to the LGS, I would have bought more. I called Brownells, was on hold for about 10 minutes before I finally got to talk to a customer service rep, and learned they don't think they will be shipping the mags for 45-60 days! She said they had 30 thousand on backorder!

I hope you are right!! But I think this time it will be much quicker. I am surprised the President Obama hasn't done some type of executive order.

If they do it like last time they will also impose a ten round limit on magazines. Those currently in circulation will be ok but after the cut off high capacity will only be available to government types. This is why some of our favorite manufacturers are limiting their selection and maximizing production right now.

Nope. I have tried to spend the gift card that I got as a Chrsitmas present from my staff, but the store is too busy to get anywhere near the counter. Plus the selection is all shot now.
