Well I just let them know I won't be shopping there anymore. Its a pitty, the local one had some pretty good deals on ammo sometimes.

They removed all firearms from their stores in the CT area out of "sensitivity" to the families.

The news this AM reported Dick's pulled all firearms at their stores in the Newtown CT area out of sensitivity to the families. May not be a nationwide thing.

    Isnt that sort of extreme?

I mean, why dont the Auto Dealers quit selling cars everytime someone gets killed by one?

It dosent make sense. All it does it make the weak minded people think that they have some share of the blame. More insanity.

This is precisely HOW the anti 2A powers operate. It is part of their plan.
Public sentiment far outweighs logic and reason.

Dick's Sporting Goods profits are not primarily gleaned from gun sales...it's a low percentage actually.
So they are taking a gamble more people will see their (sensitive) nature and come in to buy clothing, camping gear etc...

I have a gift card for these Dick's. It makes me not want to use it, but they already have the cash... I guess I'll just go protest and tell them that I'll never be back after I get a jacket or something.

They're expensive anyway. I bought my safe from them a few years ago but it was deeply discounted, clearance I think. Watching to see if I'll be going back.

Sounds like everyone here is already not buying from them -- hard to boycott in that case.

Dicks is completely worthless anyway for any gun, ammo or shooting need in my area.
