Just curious... When you called it in, did you inform them that the man was armed with an Axe or did you just say you had a man acting violently?

Had a close call at work today...

    It went like this.
Dispatcher: "Trooper so and so, state police such and such barracks"
Me: "Hey it's Nathan over at Walmart"
    Dispatcher: "Hey Nate what's up"
Me: "Iv got a male in the store, armed with an axe, swinging it around, making a scene, appears to be a disturbed individual, can you send me some backup?"
Dispatcher: "They are on their way"

That's the relationship we have with them, we don't call 911 we call the barracks directly, or depending who's on I call their cell phones, they have our backs big time an they know how much we appreciate it.

50 or so rounds from a paintball gun aimed at soft spots will make a man a blubbering pile of yellow goo. They do sell them there? Keep one loaded behind the counter.

Hey man, Dog the Bounty Hunter uses a paintball gun with OC Pepper Balls.

I'm sure they're probably effective, but I always laughed my ass off when Leland pulls it out to use on a "raid."

You should have grabbed a bear gryls survival knife, it comes with a booklet.I always thought a weed whacker would make a great weapon too

Why use a paintball gun, a knife, or a weed whacker? Do you sell pepper spray?
Your Wal-Mart sells guns and ammo, doesn't it?

Glad that it all worked out ok for you.

Not that it really matters now, but was it a hatchet or axe?
Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

They walk among us. They have problems and nobody can seem to do anything about it.

I think we have more of a problem with mentally ill, deranged, drug addicted or people with an "axe" to grind than we do about weapons such as firearms.

If we could concentrate the effort they put into wanting to restrict our rights to have them and put that into finding out what causes people to do things like your axe weilding looney, then maybe that might be a better solution to the problem.

Good for you that you had some Law Enforcement nearby or there may have been another bloody rampage for the news to cover. Good for your quick thinking and handling of a potentially deadly situation.

Good job on your part! So he'd previously been in a mental facility and was refused a gun sale? I guess that shows the current gun control laws do work.
