It's amazing that such simple common sense such as this article doesn't seep into these gun hating peoples minds. Mass shootings aside, you can't tell me not one of these people wouldn't use a firearm, if they had one, to keep a crazed man from entering their home and murdering their family. The have the "won't happen to me" or "I'll just call the cops" mentality............ up until it happens to them, and they wish they had a way to stop the violence against them. Police report more crime than they stop.

I'll say, I really don't think anything will ever happen to me in my life time that I'll need to use my firearm. But that doesn't mean I think I'm exempt from anything happening. So, in that case, I carry a firearm.

the common sense approach would mean....more guns. That would just make the libs feel yucky all over. You either love Ann Coulter or you hate her. Many guys don't like her because

This will never fly but what the hell. Hospitals have armed guards, malls have guards some armed ,some not, junk yards have guards, why not schools? Two ARMED guards per school would usually be enough. And I don't mean a bunch of fat mall ninja types,or 75yr old bank guard types. I mean professionally trained guards, capable of performing police type duties. A double set of security doors similar to the one that a lot of jewelry stores use. Identify yourself, get buzzed through the first set of doors, which then lock behind you. Then buzz the 2nd door and armed security will escort you to where you need to go. And cameras everywhere. It would cost some bucks, but the kids will be much safer than they are now. The school systems would have to pare down their top heavy beureaucracy to help pay for the guards. I'm sure the teachers union would prefer to keep their jobs over the safety of the kids. Not unexpected. And my 2a rights won't be violated

I love reading and watching Ann, she's actually kind of tame in this article. There is never any doubt where she coming from. If she didn't 'flaunt' her persona, she would be lost in the crowd.

Good article. It makes a lot of sense. Unfortunately, the anti-gun libtards do not care about logic, verifiable facts, the ugly truth! Those things all get in the way of their emotional anti-gun "feelings". They are more interested in doing "something" to give the appearance that they are "doing something" than actually doing anything meaningful that would address the real problem! They just hate that average, law-abiding citizens have guns!

We have had armed sworn police officers for many years in the middle schools and high schools in Palm Beach county Fl. and I am sure we will soon have full time officers in the elementary schools. The schools also have a communication system called "Robocall" that notifies parents of any problems that may arise and actions the parents should or should not take. It is called having a proactive plan that is in place at all times and not a reactive plan that is implemented after an incident occurs.

I find her somewhat attractive in a weird, skinny blond with big ears sort of way.

I like her stance on many issues as well.

What left field did that statement come from? She's not nasty, and defintely not an evil monster.

I have met Ann Coulter and talked to her for almost an hour years ago in 2007. She is actually a really nice and decent person.
Certainly she is extremely opinionated when expressing her political views and one thing that you really DO have to admire about her is that she speaks her mind and she really doesn't care a whit if anybody agrees with her or not. She just belts it out and..."Let The Chips Fall Where They May."
We did not really talk "politics" but were talking about restaurants and worthwhile places for her to eat in my area.
