I got the Henry after watching True Grit. I'm actually watching it right now. Good movie.

I've got an H001 on order and I've got a Marlin 1894 in the safe. Lever guns are very fun and take me back to my childhood.
Several years ago I bought a Henry Lever .22 Magnum with Octagon barrel...on of the funnest guns I've ever had!!!!!!!!!! Wish I had one in .22lr too. I might just have to fix that.
The lever action is buttery smooth!!!

Those are amazingly well made little rifles but you may not realize they shoot 22 shorts meaning you can buy the AQUILA COLIBRI 22 ammo which is cheap price but has no gunpowder and shoots about 600fps like a strong pellet gun and you can't even hear it fire. Most fun little rifle I have shot in years and you can even put a cheap small red dot sight on them and shoot steels. I want one BAD, on my future Christmas list. Do self a favor and look up that Aquila ammo, it makes this gun something you can plink with without ******* off neighbors. Be careful though the silent ammo may be primer only but it can still kill an animal or probably a person if hit in the right place. Congrats on a super great fun gun.
That's a great and fun rifle to shoot!
