Manufacturer: Bushmaster Caliber: 223/5.56 NATO Action: Semi-automatic Firearm Type: Rifle Flag | Edit | Favorite I manage a Walmart Sporting goods and we rarely have ammo come in for AR's and Ak's. And, for every 10 boxes we get, only 1 makes it to the shelf. The rest goes to friends and family. Our distributors tell us to expect little or no assault rifle ammo to be shipped in 2013. And, we've been told the price is about to triple, at least, for what we do get. If I were you guys, I'd be buying every bit of ammo and mags you see for sale. 30 rd mags will be banned and the GOP is about to agree to a deal limiting how much ammo you can buy as well as banning internet sales. Don't believe me? Just wait and see. Before long 20 rds of AK and AR ammo will be selling for $50 per box of 20. Cry all you want but its true

NEVER point a gun at something you are not prepared to destroy!
AND for GODS sake, get your finger off the trigger until you are ready to squeeze the trigger!
Supply and demand, regardless of the fear of coming regulation.......... dictates that the companies that produce are producing as much as they can right now, and the price will come down for a period as panic buying (right now) declines in a couple of months.
The only thing that throws this awry is needless Gov regulations being immediately inacted. The regulations are coming, but I do not see Congress moving that fast. There are always Executive Orders, however, if there is still one neutral Federal Judge out there (doubtful, but maby the 6th Circut) that can actually read the Constitution, any over-reaching EO can be held in check.
I'm thinking that the upcoming glut of .556 might push the price down to around 20 Cents a round in a couple of months, after everyone quits freaking out.
If I am wrong, later, you all get to 'Dog Pile' me, and I will admit that I am wrong.
Everyone just needs to calm down.
We know what the Anti Game is...... We need to be very vocal with all of our Local, County, State and Federal Politicians! Use your voice and email, write, FAX and meet them personally (not as hard as you think, if you try) and let them know that if they enact European Union/Canadian/Socialist gun laws, they will pay for it the next time they run for office!
As many times as the panic button has been hit, who didn't already have everything they want and need???
Know Guns, Know Safety, Know Peace.
No Guns, No Safety, No Peace.
Anyone remember the 'Johnny Carson toilet paper shortage' scare? He did a joke in his monologue that there was a toilet paper shortage. That CREATED one by people freaking out and hoarding.
Sounds like a load of crap.
We're supposed to believe that he is a Walmart manager and has his finger in the pulse of the firearms industry and that in 2013 no one is going to make ammo in 5.56 and 7.62x39?
Just got home from Wally World. There was absolutely not a single gun of ANY type and i got one of the last boxes of .40 cal white box FMJ's. It literally looked like the gun box etc had been robbed...
When Bill Clinton was elected I realized we were screwed, gun owners do NOT vote to protect our rights and the Left WILL win in the end. The Left will never try to repeal the 'Second.' Political suicide for too many. There however is NO right to buy cheap ammo, cheap mags, cheap guns, or laws preventing the Left from taxing them ALL. That's where they will attack. I ordered another 2000 9mm today so that SHOULD last me a lifetime. I regret those who sat on their butts and did NOT vote allowing this to happen, but they did so we are stuck with a sad reality.
Why would the ammo manufacturers stop shipping .223 ammo when it is still legal to do so? especially with it selling like hotcakes?
That settles it. I am selling the Krugerrands so I can buy .223 at two bucks a round because Bob in Wal-Mart sporting goods sez so.

Car pulls up to drive-thru window!

Driver: “uh-mm…Yeah...! I’ll have 2-M2A1’s of 9mm and 3-M2A1’s of 5.56NATO please!”
Voice comes over call box: “OK…..your total comes too….one arm, two fingers, and half ah leg….drive up to the next window please!”
haaa cah cha cha caaaah
Went to Wal-Mart last night to get some ammo for my new .357 sp101 and pick up some federal 9mm... looked like a ghost town. Literally never seen it this low. Granted, this is a different WM that I don't go to often, but none the less.. empty.
