I would say you need a little and a big of everything....rifle, shotgun, handgun. Then when you get that squared away get the really big 50 cals and a cannon of coarse.

3) a shotgun that you are proficient with in 12 or 20 ga.
4) A long range bolt action rifle ( .223 for caliber cooperation with my tactical)
5) a tactical AR ( .223)
6) a subcompact of major caliber, preferably the same as your polymer pistol.
