Firearms every gun enthusiast should own! (What do you think)

I'm excited to hear what guns you think every gun enthusiast ought to own. Obviously this is a matter of opinion and every one has different taste in firearms.

For me, it's the Mosin Nagant, has the best price to run ratio of any firearm I own.

The are a lot of options and a lot of possible reasons for your suggestions (fun, affordability, historical value)

I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

    1) Glock 19 or 17
    2) Marlin lever gun of some flavor - .357mag or .45-70 would be my pick (and what I own)
    3) Remington 870 or Mossberg 500
    4) Ruger 10/22
    5) Ruger Single Six or MKIII or 22/45 depending on your style
    6) S&W J-Frame
    7) S&W 686 or Ruger GP100
    8) Bolt gun
    9) AR/AK/M1A/Mini 14

My choices will reflect similar choices already given here:

    1911 (preferably Kimber)
    Model 94 Winchester
A wheel gun of some sort
    .22 cal rifle

    Wish list:
    M1 Garand

Funny-if the "Socialists" get their wish, we'll only be able to afford old Commie rifles like the Mosin Nagant... Irony...

Also, I have the feeling that lever action rifles are about to have a big resurgence in popularity.

I need an EDC because mine were stolen during a burglary. Semi auto or revolver, doesn't matter .380 minimum to .45 acp. We now have a Liberty gun safe, but the theft came at a time when gun prices will head to the stratosphere and I will probably not be able to purchase much.

I think I want/need an AR or AK with tons of magazines and ammo. Get one before they are banned an I become a criminal for just wanting one.

I'd like to have an original M1 Carbine to replace the el cheapo with the broken extractor that I currently own. Would love an M1 Garand and perhaps a Mauser K98. A Ruger 10-22 as well. The thief did not get my Mosin-Nagant 91-30, too bulky to carry so they dropped it during the break in. Thank you.

    A nice SD Shotgun

I'd also like to catch the cowardly "person" who broke into my home and have just 5 minutes alone with my 42" Katana and him. Feel free to imagine the graphic display of carnage.

Do you have an old authentic katana? I have an antiques dealer i know in NC that has some very very nice blades from ww2 back to the 1600s from Japan. Very very pricy but I always liked Kill Bill movies! :) Ill consider selling one of my k98's if you want one that badly.

Reproduction Katana & Wakizashi, but sharp nonetheless. I'm sure I could do major damage with them and my wood Bokken as well. Was a birthday gift from a friend. Authentic would be nice.

As for gun purchases, I'm really hard pressed to pay for the security measures we've put into place but I will consider offers for later once the funds become available!

My no. 1 would be a .22 target pistol for general shooting, also good to train new shooters with. It's always a good go-to gun, and cheap to feed. I love it for a little competition over some popper targets. Mine's a bbl Ruger Mark II.

My no. 2 is a shotgun in either 20 or 12 gauge, it can be pump or semiauto. My personal favorite is a Winchester 1897 12 gauge. I like my oldie goldies.
