New Guy Gun Range experience
I've had a guy that after he found Out I teach people to shoot was asking If I would take him sometime,so Friday he asked and I said tomorrow, after we got to the range I found out that he had moved from Illinois down here.So we start shooting 22's and he is doing ok,then we moved up to an XD9 and he was shooting fairly proficient for being pretty new to shooting.
I then loaded up my Sig 229 40 and taught him how to shoot the DA/SA platform, then I pulled out my SD AR,even tho there are ammo shortages I have plenty of components on hand to keep my rounds in the .15 ea range.I loaded up 2 30 round mags mags and fired a couple rounds to show him how to fire the gun with A2 sights, after the first couple of shots he started rapid firing the gun,he went through both mags in about 1 minute and his smile was from ear to ear.
Next week I gotta take him AND HIS WIFE back to the range,I think she wants to learn to shoot and also get some trigger time on the Evil Black Rifle.

Well done, duk - that big smile helps insure an active voice to help preserve what we've got going for us here in the USA.
I tell ya - when I hit the range and I see the generation behind mine shooting a lot of EBRs that they shelled out big bucks for, and they're shooting up caseloads of ammo that no one handed them, I'm thinking patriotism and some deep-rooted traditions are alive and well. We can snicker at how preposterous or dated the movie "Red Dawn" may be, but I'm quite happy that we have millions of these guns in civilian hands!

Well done duk. If we look at converting people like Johnny Cash did building the Cadillac in the song One Piece at a Time. It may not get done tomorrow, or the next day, or even next year, but in time we can put it all together and stop the anti movement.
