I have a full size M&P 9 collecting dust after my recent gen 4 g17 purchase. I've been looking for someone to trade me a 9mm glock, with no luck.
A co-worker has offered me a gen 2.5 g27, with night sites, and extended controls, and a nice small of the back holster.
I already have a g19, and g17. So my full size 9mm needs have been met.

If that is what you want why not? The G27 can be easily converted to 9mm with a Lone Wolf barrel and mags. My G27 has both 9mm and 357 Sig barrels, I carry the 357 Sig.

If it fills the bill, go for it. If it were me, I'd hold out for what I want though. The M&P is probably commanding a premium price at the moment, where as the relatively low capacity sub compact Glocks not so much.

Personally if you don't use it, sell it.
If the trade is not exactly what you are looking for, don't do it. Use the money from the sell to find what you want be it either new or used.
If the trade isn't exactly what you want you will probably end up selling it eventually anyway...

I ended up making the trade, and not a week later I traded the 27 for a mint gen 3 23.
