Well I figured I'd see if anyone here can either point me in the right direction, I had read on www.markii.org (now www.markiii.org but not up anymore) how you can get rid of the MkIII mag disconnect safety.
I should have saved the post but it wasn't pressing when I read it.
Now I'm sort of itching to get rid of it (the safety not the weapon) as it's becoming a problem.
The removal of the mag disconnect makes a noticable change in the trigger and mag ejection is far superior (they actually drop out now w/o any coaxing). If anyone has a MkIII I strongly recomend it and being one of the least "handy" guys around if I can do it anyone can.
When I picked up my 22/45 MKII they were just coming out with the MKIIIs. After reading what "improvements" the MKIII had I hurried up and bought my MKII!
Well I don't know if they made similar changes to the rifles. With thier handguns they made some changes to try and make the legal in the Peoples Republic states. Loaded chamber indicator, Mag disconnect safety, and Key lock saftey.
Also I'm not sure if they did similar to thier centerfire handguns, never handled one.
they havent done the rifles yet they are still all mark II's
