:35:He did a great job. I wonder how many more out there feel like he does.:dunno:
A very articulate gentleman.
The fight is coming, gun owners will have to choose a side. There are no cheap seats in the coming fight.
She asked direct and specific questions and he responded with direct and specific answers. I saw no problem with either side. If this is what some of you are calling one-sided media coverage you need to do some more looking.
'This crap is making me really irritated. How many times do we have to point out that the problem is NOT a gun problem; it is a MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEM.
We need to keep guns, as well a knives, box cutters, explosives, etc., out of the hands of crazy people. All this focus on pistol grips on a rifle or how many rounds in a magazine is so incredibly stupid that it displays the gross incompetence of lawmakers and new reporters. How fast can you swap a magazine. I'm only MM in IDPA and I can do it in about a second. I'mg getting weary of explaining to my non-carry friends that there are NO simple answers to complex problems.
Realizing that I am new around here and I am somewhat sensitive to start out on a hot topic but I wanted to make a point that he made and I wished that he would have hammered it more.
I don't believe strenghtening our mental health system, putting arm guards in schools or more gun control laws on the books is the answer. The answer is "there will always be evil" in our society. The government is inept at protection. Protection of my family is my responsibility and I cannot farm that out to local LEO or to the army. If some choose to carry a knife or a bat then that is their choice but many see otherwise.
I believe it is coming too. What it is and how bad it will be is the remaining unanswered question.
"Unconstitutional laws aren't laws".. Perfect what he said, and it's true.. Well spoken.
Seems the focus is solely on the evil AR's. Don't forget she wants to cut your pistol mag size by about half, too. Essentially robbing you of that many more life savers for feel good reasons. Better get used to carrying extra mags etc. If the SHTF and you live long enough you may need it.
The focus isn't only on AR's. They want anything semi-auto with magazines over 10 rounds. Or as they put it, "a fixed magazine", which technically is incorrect if they want AR's and your Glock 17. They have removable magazines.
However, once they get "one" law to pass...the next one will follow. They want them "ALL", and like Mr. Boston said, "unconstitutional laws are not laws".
^My point would simply be^^^^^
That when someone you interview, gives you common sense, logical answers, you can either sit there and begin to see the light a bit, or you can sit there and act like a Piers Morgan wanna-be.
The main point was that it matters not how these talking heads appear on the outside, they are no different than the slick criminals who prey on society, who appear like they mean you no ill will, then they are on you like white on rice, with their own agenda.
He did very well, and she was fine too. Her questions were logical and she chose not to argue where argument would have served no purpose. My only criticism of him would be that the shifting of his eyes during his thought process, which nearly everyone does, detracts from his authority and gravitas. On the other hand it lends him the air of "the common man" which tends to strengthen the notion that he represents the rest of us. All-in-all, he did great.
