So the "Survival Rifle" threads made me itch for an AR-7. So I ran down to my local Gun Pusher (oops I mean dealer) and there it was. Even better he had a used one for almost $50 less. So here it is the latest acquisition for my addiction.
There are over 550 million firearms in worldwide circulation. That's one firearm for every twelve people on the planet. The only question is: How do we arm the other 11? (Yuri Orlov [Nicolas Cage] Lord of War)
I use to have one of those! I liked it. I had a gunsmith mount a dove tail on it and put a red dot sight on it. Kinda neat guns. They float you know.

I shot one a looonnng time ago that belonged to a friend. Pretty nice setup. And Tangle is right, they float! They used to market them to the marine market. Congrats!!!

I read they float but I'm not too keen on experimenting. I'll need to scope or dot it, the little peep sights aren't for me luckily it looks like it'll take rings. We'll see how it does this weekend at the range.

They do float... I accidently tested the one I keep in my boat.
They are kinda neat. Like ugly dog neat. I've been kicking around the idea of getting one just cause.

Isn't it Armalite? Or was it Colt? I thought i was originally developed for pilots but could very well be wrong.

Armalite was the origional mft. Henry makes it now.

Nice gun. Looks like a keeper.
I was looking at one the other day in a pawn shop across town. The only thing i couldn't handle about the one I saw was that it was silver colored, besides, he had more in it than I would be willing to part with.
My latest to date is an M6 Scout.
I haven't shot it yet, and I am itching to. The only thing I wish was different is the caliber. Mine is a .22 Hornet. Would rather have had the .22lr, but beggars can't be choosers.
