Look for the P225 or the P6. They quit making them but they can be had from 350-450 bucks.
They are single stack 9mm's and they aer excellent shooters.
the 2022 was going for 350ish before december. Probably around 400 now.
P2022 or p250

i like the looks of this. might have to take a look at a store. prob cheaper than MSRP too.
i like that 250 compact a lot
I have the P2022 in .40
LOVE IT!
I have the sp2022 in 9mm shot around 500 rounds through it with no issues. Eats any ammo with little recoil. Love that gun! Got mine for $400 last year.

I got a p938 and a P239 and a P238 for less than $600 each.
Scratch the P238 from my response...it's a .380
I love Sig pistols, but mine are all in the Classic "P" line (P220 Carry in 45acp, P229 in 40sw, P226 in 9mm).....that is they are all made with stainless steel slides with aluminum frames. I've never owned a polymer Sig so can't give you any advice in that area. You should be able to buy a brand new in the box Sig P229, P226 or P239 for less than a grand. It really comes down to what you plan to do with the pistol. If you just want a gun to take to the range....you really can't beat the P226. Afterall, it was the finalist in the competition for the US contract for new sidearm for our military. If you intend to carry the Sig, then I'd recommend you go to a gun shop and hold the P229 and P239. The P229 is a double stack and the P239 is a single stack. If you have medium to small hands, you're probably going to like the feel of the P239. The P229 is larger and heavier, but has a larger capacity. They are all sweet pistols and you're going to love what ever you get. Mine have all been 100% reliable and are very accurate. Quality made firearms...
I have a sig sp2022 and my wife has the p250 sub compact. Both AWESOME guns. Great shooting, great accuracy, easy take down. I picked mine up from a buddy of mine for $500, but it also came with 8 mags. My wife paid $479 for her 250. They eat everything. I have never had a problem with either of them. I would highly recommend them.

I've never seen a Sig for over $1k unless it was a marked up 1911. I thought all of their 9mms will be under that...just looked on the sight and maybe they have raised their prices? Either that or else when I bought mine new the dealer knew what a reasonable markup was. I paid about $700 for my 226 DAK 5 years ago. The least expensive is probably the polymer ones - they have some full size, compact, and tiny ones.
Full size - SP2022 MSRP $540
Compact - 250 MSRP $570
Tiny - 290 $570
It's all on their website. Also - expect the MSRP to be 10-20% over what a gun shop would list them for normally. Although during this "craze" they might go for full MSRP or even more.
