It is a general guideline set down from one of the FBI studies of LE gunfights.

Most CCW people believe that they are good to go because they know how to target shooting at 7-15-25 yards. Statistic show that the bad breath distances are much more likely.

The old John Wayne sucker punch!

And the double edge sword.......dirty tricks work both ways. That fact seems to be missing in this thread.

What do the bad guys do that we can do just as well?

Undeployed knife hidden in the hand

Deployed knife hidden in the hand.

Handgun in the hand in a front hoodie pocket.

    Palmed J-frame

    Deception

    Distraction

    Let the good times roll!

Everyone talks about making head or central nervous system shots to instantly stop an attacker.

Shoot a man in the jewels, I guaranty he will stop attacking you instantly, no matter how big, drugged or mad he is. :) :)

Plus it solves the problem of raising more like him. :) :)

Try to walk a mile in the shoes of your potential attackers. Then you'll have their shoes and be a mile away.

That may be a mighty small target.

Street fighting is NOT a dirty trick, it is a survival skill.

If you have to ask what street fighting is then you are way behind the curve from the very beginning.
