Walther PPK/S in .22 LR | The Firearm Blog

Okay, so I talk so much about how all my guns are tools, they all have a purpose, yada, yada...But I SO totally NEED this, right? I'll justify my need for this as satisfying my secret desire to pretend to be an international woman of mystery and intrigue, with the low, low price of shooting .22LR. Hmm, that a good enough purpose, right?

Its a well made "metal" pistol. Why pretend when you can be?

The Walther PPK/S is a very ergonomic "hits where you look" handgun for lots of folks. It would be neat to own one in .22 LR

I see the stamp on the slide says made in Germany.
Does this mean Smith and Wesson won't be making this model?

I love my .380... after I sent it back to S&W twice.

Info from Walther: PPK/S .22 | Walther ArmsWalther Arms. Says it will come in black(paint?) and stainless(steel?). This article states it will be produce by Walther at their factory in Ulm: Walther announcing PPK/S in .22.

For anyone worried that this will be manufactured by Smith & Wesson, fear not, as Walther will be making the PPK/S .22 at their factory in Ulm, Germany.
    SWEET!!!!!!

It is made in Germany at the Umarex plant where the P22 and other Umarex products are made. "Stainless " refers to the finish as it is made of diecast zinc. Far, far from a Walther proper product.

From Walther. There is an extensive thread on this pistol on Waltherforums. It is not made in Ulm! The Ulm proofmark is a staghorn and this pistol has the three crowns from Koln like the other Umarex products.

If that's true, it's a shame. I'd liked one in steel.
