We have porn:blink??? Honestly this private sale thing isnt enforcable. In ky like alot of other states once a gun is sold by a dealer and leaves the hands of that original buyer its vanished as far as a paper trail. I have bought lots of used guns from friends that bought them from friends traded etc etc. Its totally legal and theres no way the can retro back and try to make person remember a gun he traded five years ago to someone when there was no legal reason to remember. The whole idea is ridiculous.
To be blunt here, it's none of your business where I, as buyer, take the now MY property. Bill of sale, sure I'm all for that, I think both parties need something of the sort for their own record keeping. I'm also not opposed to presenting ID, after all, you need to know that I'm over 21. Beyond that, we've followed the law already, and no additional action is needed, nor warranted.

I have bought and sold houses directly between individuals without having to ask the govt's permission or pay a govt entity. The only reason you have to register the deed is so they can tax you for owning it.
