In love... But its a Shakespeare type love story

So I am in NJ, and suffering through month 3 waiting for my paperwork to be able to purchase firearms. I am in love, and I confess. I lust after the M1A with a passion that makes my Fiancee jealous. *shrugs* It cant be helped... but this is a shakesperian love story... one where people die in the end, or well in this case I fear a ban will forever keep me from my dream.

    *sniffles* LOL

Anyone know what people are selling M1As for these days?

For more than they're inherently worth, sadly. Should've checked last March. Shoulda, woulda, coulda.

I often check recently-completed auction/sale results on GunBroker and other such sites. They can be a useful indicator of current pricing, particularly when it's No-Reserve type auctions you're looking at. A quickie check of GB recent No-Reserve results shows the pricing starts somewhere around $1100, and it goes up from there.

Should live somewhere other than NJ also. I can buy right off the (emptied) shelf here and walk out the door.

At the risk of making you really cry buckets, a SF M1A Scout in .308 recently went unbid @ $899, closing back in December. Uncertain if it's still available, though if you're hungering for one it might be worth looking into. Check GB completed sales for the past 30 days, in the $800-900 range. You'll find it. Bring plenty of Kleenex.

I feel for ya, bud. NJ's firearms situation is enough to make anyone cry.

    The right to pursue happiness.

The only thing holding you back in your pursuit is you.....and a NJ address. Freedom means moving to some other place where you and your true love can be together.

You could always flee to a free country.

In some places you can still buy guns with cash and a handshake.
